Barry was an engineer who worked on an exoskeleton project. However, he died in the middle of the project, and the exoskeleton kept taking him to meetings. Dilbert was the first one to realize this, but the Pointy-Haired Boss assigned Barry to Dilbert's project team, which included Wally and Asok.
